OVERVIEW HA LONG BAY

Ha Long Bay is one of Mother Earth’s most extraordinary natural wonders and one of Vietnam’s most treasured destinations. Located in northeastern Vietnam along the Gulf of Tonkin, the bay is approximately a comfortable 3.5-hour drive from Hanoi, making it easily accessible for both domestic and international travelers.

Ha Long Bay is renowned for its dramatic seascape of more than 1,600 limestone karsts and islets rising majestically from emerald waters, some reaching heights of up to 100 meters. Scattered throughout the bay are countless caves and grottoes, adding to its geological and visual allure. Beyond its breathtaking scenery, the area holds significant archaeological, geological, cultural, and historical value. In recognition of its outstanding universal value, UNESCO designated the central area of Ha Long Bay as a Natural World Heritage Site in 1994, affirming its global significance with the statement that “apart from Ha Long Bay, there are no equivalent sites on the World Heritage List.”

ITINERARY: HALONG BAY ONE DAY TRIP

08.45 - 09.15: Our Limousine bus and guide pick you up from the hotel/stay in Hanoi Old Quater depart for Halong Bay

10.30: Have a break to relax, have a cup of tea or coffee, or take a look at the arts and crafts center within 15 minutes.

12.15:  Arrive Tuan Chau Harbor, welcome aboard, and safety briefing luxury cruises will take you on a 5,5hours journey via 2 day-sleeper boat cruise route which renowned for its striking, passages uninhabited islets and outcrops have been given imaginative names by the locals, due to their perceived shapes, including Cock Fighting and Thumb, while enjoying Vietnamese mouth-watering lunch on boat.

13.45: Arrive Bo Hon archipelago, you will visit Surprising Cave to see a lot of stalagmites and stalagmites with different shapes of sea lives

15.00: Then you will enjoy kayaking or a bamboo boat in Luon Cave to discover the beautiful lagoon.

15.30: Get on Titop Island 

         + Swimming on the beach

         + Trekking Titop peak for taking photos with a panoramic view of the bay

16.30: Return to cruises for afternoon tea and cruising back toward Tuan Chau harbor. There is a lot of time for sunbathing on the upper deck with music, enjoying the great fun of group touring fellows among world iconic natural scenery.

17.45: Disembark for going back on the new highway to Hanoi.

20.45: Drop off at your hotel/stay, the trip ends.

1.  How long does it take from Hanoi to Halong Bay?
Normally, the distance from Hanoi to Halong Bay is about 170 km. It will take 3.5 hours by regular road, 2.5 hours for a new highway

2. Can you swim in Halong Bay?
In theory, you can swim at Titop island but in fact, it is a small beach and it is quite touristy so it depends on your decision

3. Can we get picked up at Hanoi airport?
Pick-up request at Hanoi Airport is not available with shuttle bus transportation. It can be handled by private car only. Please kindly note that the shuttle bus can't pick you up or drop you off you at Hanoi Airport but the private car can.

4. What time do we get back to Hanoi?
the driver will drop you off at your hotel at around 8.45 – 9.15 pm. If you book the private car, you will come back to your hotel at 8.30

5. What can’t I bring on the boat?

6. How can I make payment for the trip?
If you are satisfied with the quotation we give you, we will send you the payment link to pay a deposit or pay full for the booking. Normally, you just need to deposit 30% total of the price (easy and secure with a Credit card or paypal). The remained balance will be paid by credit card or cash to your departure date.

7. How can I order meals as vegetarian or special diet?
We have alternative menu to suit your food requirement.
