CAT BA ISLAND OVERVIEW

Cat Ba Island is the largest island adjacent to Ha Long Bay, covering an area of approximately 280 km². It is home to around 10,000 residents living across six different communes, including several floating fishing villages that preserve traditional coastal lifestyles.

At the heart of the island lies Cat Ba National Park, a UNESCO-recognized Biosphere Reserve and the only known habitat of the critically endangered Cat Ba langur. Thanks to its unique geographical location, Cat Ba Island boasts exceptional biodiversity with a wide range of both marine and terrestrial ecosystems.

Natural habitats found throughout the Cat Ba Archipelago include limestone karsts, tropical limestone forests, coral reefs, mangroves, seagrass beds, lagoons, sandy beaches, caves, and freshwater swamp forests. This remarkable ecological diversity makes Cat Ba Island a key destination for nature lovers, eco-tourism, and travelers seeking unspoiled landscapes in northern Vietnam.

ITINERARY

ITINERARY: HALONG HERCULES CRUISE

8.30 - 9.00: HOTEL PICK UP

English speaking guide will pick you up at your hotel around the Old Quarter area ( If your hotel is far away, please go to Vietnam Asia Trip office at 131 Hang Bong Street )

12.00: BOARDING THE CRUISE

Arrive to Halong Bay - Embark from Tuan Chau Marina onto Hercules cruise. A complimentary welcome drink will be served.The boat starts cruising

12.30: BUFFET LUNCH ON BOARD

Enjoy Buffet lunch with Vietnamese traditional food while cruising though thousands of limestone islands such as: Dog Rock, Insence Bunner and especially Fighting Cock – a symbol of Ha Long Bay.

13.30: VISITING CAVE

Explore Sung Sot Cave - The longest, biggest and the most beautiful grotto of Ha Long Bay.

14.45: KAYAKING OR BAMBOO BOAT

The boat will move to Luon Cave area - a water cave for kayaking or rowing bamboo boat or just stay on board for relaxing

15.45: SWIMMING OR HIKING

Visiting Titop island for swimming or hiking to the Titop peak for taking photos with panoramic view of the bay.

16.30: SUNSET PARTY

It is time for a rest after activities and capture the sunset on the bay. Complimentary Vietnamese tea, fresh juice, fruit, ang little cake will be served. Enjoy the return sail back.

18.00: GET BACK ON BUS

Back to Halong harbor. Disembark to get on the bus, moving back Hanoi.

20.45 - 21.00: HOTEL DROP
